Cancer Survivor wins Big Screen TV

Donovan and Kurt of Florida Foods with winner Waseema Kippie of Wynberg

Waseema Kippie of Wynberg won a 46 inch Samsung LCD TV courtesy of Florida Foods Premium Brand at the VOC Summer Festival on the 5th Dec 2010. To enter the competition, she had to purchase a 3kg variety box of Florida Foods Premium Brand.

Waseema was diagnosed with rectum cancer in November 2009 and after 30 intensive weeks of chemotherapy, the cancer is in remission. After 4 names were drawn, Waseema heard her name and was thrilled when she was announced the winner. She said her legs felt like jelly and winning this tv just brightened her difficult year. Waseema is married with one son and two grandchildren.

Her son, who lives in PE, said that she can send the big screen tv to him and his children. Florida Foods Premium Brand will be at the Habibia Muharram Souk Trade Fair 2010 from the 16th Dec – 19th Dec 2010.
