PERSONAL HYGIENE CODE OF CONDUCT for promoters
- Being Clean
- You must keep yourself in a clean and respectable state at all times.
- uniforms
- Clean uniforms (Florida Foods T-Shirt with black jeans or pants, Apron, Hairnet, Closed shoes and gloves) must at all times be worn by all promoters.
- Head and beard covering
- Disposable hairnets must cover all the hair and any loose ends must be tucked in. Men with beards or moustaches must wear beard masks.
- washing your hands
- You must wash your hands thoroughly
- After smoking, drinking, eating, blowing nose, coughing or touching your face
- Immediately after visiting the toilet
- For thorough cleaning use the liquid anti-bacterial soap provided in the dispensers and apply the hand sanitizer where provided.
- Personal hygiene
- You must keep you finger nails short and clean and free from nail polish.
- Do not lick your fingers or allow any part of your hand to come into contact with the face if you are touching food.
- Keep cuts, wounds, burns covered with a blue waterproof dressing and at all times wear gloves.

- Work areas
- Personal belongings, including cell phones, may not enter the production areas.
- You must not take any food, chewing gum or medicated sweets into the production area at any time.
- No eating is permitted in food and non-food areas.
- You must use the cleaning chemicals/sanitizer provided in the manner prescribed.
- All staff must keep their work areas clean and must carry out cleaning as required by management.
- when to tell management of any illness
- You are employed to handle food. As soon as you are suffering from, have had direct contact with any of the following, you must inform your manager/supervisor immediately:
- Typhoid and Diphtheria
- Any symptoms of food poisoning i.e. Diarrhoea or Vomiting
- Severe discharge from the nose or ears.
- Any skin infections.
- Sores or boils on the hands and face.
- Heavy colds or flu.
- Any other illness or symptoms that you may have and believe to be infectious.
You will not be chastised in any way for reporting any of the above.
